Johnny Aprile, six-foot-two and 208 pounds out of Queens, was the 16th pick overall earlier this month and the Bombers plan on using him as a defensive back. At Queens, he had 594 receiving yards and four touchdowns on 31 receptions last season. That worked out to 84.9 yards per game, seventh in Canadian Interuniversity Sports. Import receiver Doug Pierce, six-five and 190 pounds, recorded 91 receptions for 1,693 yards and 20 touchdowns in two seasons at Friends University.
