Barbra Streisand is to direct her first movie in 16 years, in a film set to star Cate Blanchett and Colin Firth.
The 70-year-old screen veteran will direct Skinny and Cat which has been described as an 'epic love story' about the relationship between writer Erskine Caldwell and photojournalist Margaret Bourke White.
According to Variety,Burberry Clothes Barbra is 'very excited' to start filming the movie next January.
However, she recently told the Los Angeles Times that it has been tricky to raise the $20 million needed to finance the film.
'This is hard to raise money for?' said Barbra. 'I'm just in shock. Hollywood has changed so much. It's about a woman ahead of her time.
'It's just a fascinating story that is very relevant to today. I may have to pick up the phone again.'
Blanchett and Firth are 'officially attached' to star in the movie about the couple, who were only married from 1939 - 1942, although collaborated on several projects together.

However, before she gets back behind the camera, Barbra will be playing dates at Brooklyn’s new Barclay Centre in New York this autumn.
She will also play Seth Rogen's mother in The Guilt Trip, which is slated for release at Christmas.
