TURNBERRY -- Fred Couples moved to within a stroke of Bernhard Langer at the Senior British Open on Saturday with a third round 64 to the Germans 66 to set up a final round showdown between the two former US Masters champions. . "Im just happy to be in the hunt with 18 holes to play," said Langer, who won this title two years ago at Carnoustie. "Theres a lot of guys in with a chance, so I know Ill have to shoot one of the lower scores to win." Langer is 7-under on 203, while Australian Peter Fowler (65) is a stroke behind Couples. "It was a very, very good day," said Couples. "Once I got going I didnt miss many shots. I hit my irons solid and when I hit them close I made the putt." Americans John Cook (66) and overnight leader Gary Hallberg (73) share fourth place on 3-under with Englands Barry Lane (66). On a day of low scoring by most of the leaders despite strong winds and squally showers, Langer and Couples both reached the turn in 30, trimming five strokes off par to overtake Hallberg, who shot 38 on the front nine. Couples had birdies at Nos. 1, 3, 7, 8 and 9 while Langer birdied the first, fourth, sixth and ninth, eagled the long seventh and dropped a stroke at the fifth. On the back nine Couples grabbed another two birdies and dropped one shot while Langer posted nine straight fours on the way home, bogeying both the par threes and getting a birdie on the long 17th. Hallberg, leading Langer and Tom Lehman by three overnight, lost his advantage early by dropping a shot at three of the first four holes on his way to a 73, a score matched by his playing partner Lehman, who slipped down to level par alongside Tom Watson. Watsons fourth British Senior title is probably out of reach but the Turnberry specialist shot a 4-under 66 after a double-bogey six at the first when he found a fairway bunker off the tee then took three putts. "I made an adjustment to my swing midway through the front nine and started hitting the ball on the club face for the first time in a while," Watson said. "Conditions were tough so Im very happy -- 66 on this golf course is very pleasing." After his stuttering start Watson got back to level at the turn with birdies at the third and ninth then bagged four more on the way home at 11, 13, 15 and 17 to be back in 31. Englands Lane matched his 66, with six birdies, including four in a row from the sixth, and dropped just two shots. Cooks round included an eagle three at the 17th. Jay Don Blake is alone in seventh place on 2-under 208, 1 shot ahead of fellow American Dick Mast, South African David Frost and Ian Woosnam from Wales. Watson and Lehman share 11th with fellow American Mark Brooks and Englands Carl Mason. [url=http://www.lionsofficialteamstore.com/autographed-dominic-raiola-jersey-se-... Raiola Jersey . Green-Ellis replaces Cedric Benson, a free agent after leading the Bengals in rushing each of the last four seasons. Cincinnati also has Bernard Scott and Brian Leonard in the backfield. . Vienneau made 34 saves for a shutout as Sudbury blanked the Brampton Battalion 2-0 in Ontario Hockey League action. Defenceman Martin Gernat scored twice and Laurent Brossoit made 24 saves as the Oil Kings finished a four-game sweep of the Brandon Wheat Kings on Wednesday. Later, Brayden Point scored a power-play goal in overtime as the Moose Jaw Warriors swept the Medicine Hat Tigers with a 4-3 win. . Haas handled the pressure of an equally large cushion just fine five years ago, so the odds for an unprecedented third Champions Tour title in Iowa are certainly in his favour. NEW YORK -- All-Pro Rob Gronkowski agreed Friday to a $54 million deal with the New England Patriots, the richest contract for a tight end in NFL history. The six-year deal includes $18.17 million guaranteed. It is a stunning move by the team for a player entering just his third NFL season, but the Patriots recognized the game-breaking skills of the record-setting Gronkowski. "This is a rare deal," said Drew Rosenhaus, Gronkowskis agent. "Thanks to Mr. Kraft and Coach Belichick." Gronkowski set a league record for the position with 17 touchdown catches in 2011. He also had a record 1,327 yards, and made 90 receptions. Gronkowski is coming off left ankle surgery, an injury that slowed him in New Englands loss to the New York Giants in the Super Bowl. "He broke every record last year and its just a remarkable story," Gronkowskis father, Gord, said Friday. "And you know, there in Arizona we didnt know if was going to play any more when he had his back surgery ((in college). Gronkowski, selected in the second round in 2010, had two more years left on his contract. Yet New England ripped it up, or rather added on to his rookie deal so Gronkowski will be with the team through the 2019 season. The 23-year-old Gronkowski was virtually uncoverable while healthy last season. He combined with fellow second-year tight end Aaron Hernandez and slot receiver Wes Walker -- the leagues leading pass catcher -- to help New England go 13-3 and score an AFC-high 513 points. Gord Gronkowski said the big money wont change his son in the least. "No, Rob is Rob. He still to this day will wear jeans that he had in high school, and shirts that he had in high school," he said. "Were not flashy people. And thats Rob all the way. The money, its nice, dont get me wrong, but it will not change him. Rob will always be Rob the goofball." ' ' '
