Nike Free Run takes on lifestyle inspirations

The nike free flyknit 4.0 continues to evolve even after its roots came from the Nike Free Trainer 5.0. While we’ve seen the shoe take on lifestyle inspirations thanks to a couple of NRG releases, today’s offering goes back to the performance based aesthetic thanks to a simplistic white upper contrasted by black accents. Like what? Like the Air Jordan 6 “Slam Dunk” that references a bit of manga history, or all the big LeBron release dates that emerged, or the ever expanding summer collab offerings from Nike SB and various skateshops across the country. We’re at that point in the Nike LeBron release timeline that comes after the Elite and regular season pairs where the Low is the most prolific model in the range. In the past couple of years that period has been particularly exciting, as the Low editions of King James’ past couple of signature entries have gotten more and more creative, and have in turn established themselves as an important piece of the Nike LeBron puzzle. On top of that, LeBron himself hasn’t been shy of wearing the lower-cut versions throughout the hotter months.

This gives room for that hyper punch shade to grab most of your attention on the laces and 180 air max outsole mixed with the remnants of free technology towards the front of the silhouette. After the nike free run 2 was spotted on Kanye’s feet, the shoe came to prominence late last fall, but with Yeezy ditching the Swoosh for the three stripes, does the silhouette still have people clambering for another release? The latest keeps things rather simple thanks to an array of greys and black forming a gradient (The outsole gets even more simple with an all-white setup). This weekend is going to be a big one for the sneaker community: tomorrow is loaded with releases and Sneaker Con is going to touch back down in NYC with its biggest show yet. Hopefully you’ve got a breather before all that though, as there was plenty that went down this week in our little world that deserves your attention.

This is about to be one of the busiest ones of the summer in terms of sneaker releases. It’s a pretty varied one too – you’ve got Jordan Brand debuting their Jordan Shine alongside the release of the latest nike free run womens, you’ve got another Asics collab coming from UBIQ, you’ve got Ronnie Fieg’s black and white Pumas, and much much more. Next up in the long line of Nike Huarache goodies for this year is the Nike Air Huarache Light “Ultramarine”, which will be showing up first at Size? stores. That spot will be releasing them in-store over the weekend and then online starting in 2015. These have been around on the retro tip before – you’ll hopefully remember the recent Free-soled version and then the 2004 that was a bit truer to the original.
