Seventeen weeks into the season and the CFLs West Division still hasnt been decided. That could change, however, this Saturday at B.C. If they can beat Edmonton at home, then the Lions become the front runners for the first-round bye in the West. A Lions win would give B.C. and Edmonton matching 10-7 records, but it would also give the Lions the season series against the Eskimos, something they also have against the Stampeders. For the Stamps to win the division, they first need to win their final two games; a tall order for a team facing the Alouettes in Montreal (TSN, Sunday, 1pm et/10am pt) and Blue Bombers at home. Calgary would also need Edmonton to drop their final two games and B.C. their final game. It may seem improbable but the Stamps – who under Drew Tate looked re-energized last week against Saskatchewan – could still pull it off. The first-place scenario could be as straightforward as the Eskimos beating the Lions to clinch the West, or as convoluted as the circumstances that would see the Stamps sneak into top spot.
