OAKVILLE, Ont. -- The PGA Tour has agreed to loan the Canadian Tour money and assist next year in tournament development and sponsorship. The amount of the loan wasnt disclosed Wednesday. "Our goal is to help lend stability to the Canadian Tour, which we believe plays an important role in professional golf and has proven to be a valuable system for developing players over the years," PGA Tour co-chief operating officer Ed Moorhouse said in a statement. The PGA Tour will decide whether to continue its current level of support after the 2012 season. "For the Canadian Tour this is an opportunity in work clothes," Canadian Tour commissioner Rick Janes said. "Whether this leads to more direct involvement by the PGA Tour beyond 2012 will depend on a number of factors including our ability to strengthen and grow the Canadian Tour across Canada from coast-to-coast. "In the meantime, it is a great opportunity to work with the preeminent brand in golf and we can only benefit from that experience." "Theyre the sort of things that really turn an average round into a good one, or a good one into a great one," Leishman said. "It was nice to shoot 6-under and get myself right in it." Tanihara had a 65 and will join Leishman and Stuard in the final group Saturday. The tee times were moved up for the third round because of rain in the forecast. Harris English had his second straight round of 66 and was two shots behind, poised to go for his third win in his last 16 starts. "I hit it all over the map," English said.
