Zhouzhuang, one of the most famous water townships China tourism, situated in Kunshan City which is only 30 kilometers (18 miles) southeast of Suzhou. It is noted for its profound cultural background, the well preserved ancient residential houses, the elegant watery views and the strong local colored traditions and customs. In the Spring and Autumn Period (770 - 476 BC), Zhouzhuang was a part of the fief Yaocheng and called Zhenfengli. After being donated to Full Fortune (Quanfu) Temple by Zhou Digong, a very devout Buddhist, in 1086 during the Northern Song Dynasty (960 - 1127), it got its present name as a memorial of the donor.

The water, streets, bridges, houses, trees, and sailboats blend into a harmonious whole, affording a simple, leisurely life for the residents along Suzhou Travel. "Mountain Huangshan has a concentration of the enchanting beauty of Chinese mountains, and Zhouzhuang is the epitome of beautiful waters," said Wu Guanzhong, a great master of traditional Chinese painting. In 1998, Zhouzhuang was included in the supplementary list of World Cultural Heritages by UNESCO. In 2000, the United Nations Center foruman Settlement awarded Zhouzhuang with the Best Example Prize of the Dubai International Living Environmental Improvement Conference.

Almost every piece of the ancient town Suzhou tour package is an art work. According to the Suzhou Tourism Bureau, they have invited all the best archaeologists in China to manage a deteriorating carved brick gate in Zhouzhuang, but none of them could handle the job. No living archaeologist has mastered this ancient skill.
