One-time UAAP champion coach Aldin Ayo has confirmed he will take over the University of Santo Tomas Growling Tigers.

Speculation that Ayo will be transferring to the Growling Tigers surfaced in the last couple of weeks when then UST coach Boy Sablan exited from the squad after a dismal 1-13 record this season.In an interview after La Salle bowed to Ateneo in the Finals of Season 80, Ayo admitted that he has lots of friends in UST including the priest who brought him to Manila.
“Yung pari na nagdala sa akin dito sa Manila, he's in UST. 'Yung adviser ko sa thesis ko, he's a Dominican, he's also in UST. There are lots of priests na nandun sa UST na friends ko, pati alumni. Pero regarding sa issue na 'yun, I don't want to comment on that,” Ayo stressed.
