Cameron Saul joins teammate Jean Bonnin as two Waldorf University men’s soccer players to win North Adidas Authentic Dave Taylor Womens Jersey Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors this season.
Bonnin won last week’s edition of NSAA Soccer Offensive Player of the Week, with Saul taking home Player-of-the-Week recognition this time around.
The NSAA acknowledged Saul for his impressive goal in the eventual 2-1 loss to Morningside College (3-0-3). Trailing 1-0 early on in the first half, the junior midfielder from London, England took advantage of a free kick opportunity and placed the soccer http:... ball perfectly over the wall in front of him and past Mustangs goalkeeper Tim Erdmann for the equalizer.
Saul would finish the match with a goal, five shots, and four shots on goal. He also had one shot and no shots on goal in the 2-1 victory over the Dordt College Defenders (3-3) on Sept. 5, 2017.
The midfielder from England’s capital city has three goals, no assists and a .450 (9-20) shooting percentage thus far in the 2017 regular season. Elisabeth Tramm‘s great performance at last weekend’s Flames Invitational in Omaha, Neb. was good enough for her to be honored on the All-Tournament Team.
The sophomore setter from White Bear Lake, Minn. led Waldorf (2-9) with 161 set assists (40.25 per match) in the four-match invitational. Tramm’s “worst” performance was when she had 29 set assists in the four-set loss against Briar Cliff University (9-0); however, nobody else on the Warriors http... recorded a single set assist in that match.
Her most notable shining moment was in Waldorf’s opening match against Dakota Wesleyan University (10-4). Although Waldorf would eventually lose the match, Tramm would contribute 45 assists and five kills in the losing effort.
Tramm was the lone member from the Waldorf University volleyball team to be honored on the All-Tournament Team.
Every team that participated in the tournament had at least one student-athlete on the squad. College of Saint Mary, who finished the tournament with an unblemished 4-0 record, was the only team to have two of its players (Dani Carlson and Payton Robley) recognized as All-Tournament athletes.

Waldorf will try to make it two wins a row by attempting to defeat No. 21 Bellevue University (10-3) on Wednesday night.
