Juventus took a giant stride towards a potential Champions League final with Real Madrid as they defeated Leonardo Jardim's exciting Monaco side in a game they controlled from start to finish. It didn't even seem that difficult.
Kylian Mbappe was impressive, regularly threatening the World Cup winning back three of Andrea Barzagli, Giorgio Chiellini and Leonardo Bonucci, twisting and turning, turning up in attacking positions and getting a few shots away at Gianluigi Buffon, 21 years his A... Alfred Morris Womens Jersey senior but he, nor his highly praised teammates could find a way past this organised, solid and very Italian defensive performance.
Much has been made of Higuain's failure to influence high profile matches in a Juventus shirt but here he finally delivered. The first goal capped off a wonderful team move, started by Buffon and ended by the Argentinian, with delightful flicks, measured chipped passes and h... calm, composed finish beyond Danijel Subasic.
Where the individual brilliance of Cristiano Ronaldo settled the tie on Tuesday night, Juventus' opening goal was the product of the Juventus team, with clever players linking beautifully to tear apart a Monaco defence that didn't realise it was yet in trouble.
Dani Alves, signed from Barcelona last summer, was superb throughout. At 33 years of age, his three year contract was questioned by supporters of both clubs but this performance will have them pulling their hair out at the decision to let him leave. A right-back in defensive situations, Alves spent most of the game as an attacking midfielder pulling defenders out wide, pinning Monaco's wingers back and providing [url=http://www.authenticnikeredskinshop.com/]Redskins Authentic Jersey
blind-sided back-heel assist for Higuain's opener.

Paolo Dybala robbed the masked Bakayoko, found Alves on the overlap and watched as the Brazilian's switched high pass set Higuain up at the back post, dropping perfectly at the feet of the striker. The €90 million man made no mistake with the finish and the Italians retreated into their defensive shell to see out the game.
Chiellini was perhaps fortunate not to see red for a deliberate forearm/elbow on Radamel Falcao late on but by that point it would have made little difference.
There will still be hope that Monaco can overturn the deficit in the return leg but the way Juventus dealt with Barcelona in Turin suggests Jardim's side must wait their turn to realise that vast potential. These exciting wonderkids will have their time, but for now this tie belongs to the experienced elders of the Old Lady.
