Alexander Galchenyuk scored once and setup two more Sunday as the Sarnia Sting downed the host Brampton Battalion 4-1 in the Ontario Hockey League. . The 18-year-old has produced four goals and 12 points in his last eight outings and now has eight goals and 21 points in 15 games, good for a tie for fifth in OHL scoring. Reid Boucher had a goal and an assist for the Sting (8-6-1), who have won three straight games, while Brett Hargrave and Nickolas Latta scored a goal apiece. Blake Clarke scored the lone goal for the Battalion (5-6-5), who have lost three in a row. Brodie Barrick made 30 saves for the win. Jake Smith stopped 11-of-14 shots in a losing cause. Sarnia went 1-for-3 on the power play while Brampton capitalized on one of four opportunities with the man advantage. The win was Sarnias first in Brampton since the 2003-04 season. Elsewhere in the OHL, it was: Mississauga 3, Sudbury 2 (SO); Sault Ste. Marie 6, Guelph 2; Owen Sound 5, Windsor 2; Peterborough 3, Oshawa 2 (SO); and Kitchener 2, Plymouth 1. At Brampton, Ont., Latta opened the scoring 10:21 into the game, converting on a Nikolay Goldobin pass and firing a shot by Smith. Boucher made it 2-0 on the power play just over a minute later, firing a quick shot from the slot. Clarke cut the deficit to one on the power play with a little over six minutes remaining in the second period. But Galchenyuk made it 3-1 with eight minutes to play in the third, beating Smith blocker side, before Hargrave rounded out the scoring with an empty-net goal in the final minute.
