The adidas originals trainers sale has reeled off an impressive string of suede colorways over the past two years or so. The latest one is a fitting selection given that track record but it’s more of a velvety nubuck than any sort of nappy suede. This tonal blue colorway adds a bit of brown at the heel, which has a harmony with that traditional gold leaf logo you’ll find just to the other side of the largest Stripe. Click in for a closer view, then find these in stock at shops like Size?The classic adidas Gazelle was given the premium Consortium treatment from the three stripes brand for the upcoming sneaker season, and the result was the navy shoe we see here.A blue tongue tag pairs with the gold foil quarter panel labeling for branding purposes. An off white sole is used for the base, keeping the vintage theme going.

The sleek lines of the Gazelle are covered in a navy blue fabric that shows a checkerboard-like pattern. Nubucks appears on the midfoot and three stripes along the side. A bright red/ornge color works to brighten up the dark buid of the upper, and can be seen on the laces, insole and quarter panel branding. A semi-translucent sole is used as a base, and other details denoting these as special adidas shoes can be found elsewhere.The adidas stan smith women has been around since 1968. Over 40 years later, it’s still around and popping up in stores periodically. This OG colorway in red as been reissued, and can be had now at CaliRoots internationally, or Shopsdidas stateside.Red suede is used for the entire upper. To match the three white leather stripes along the side, the heel tab, tongue, liner and laces are done in the same color.

Owing to both tradition and their recent popularity, just about all of the adidas zx flux black colorways we’ve seen are crafted in suede. That will likely continue into the future, so it’s nice to have a brief respite with another traditional material. These Gazelle OG Leather lowtops have an unmistakable classic vibe thanks to rich grain on the upper, simple white accents and the iconic gold leaf branding. The adidas Gazelle OG Leather wraps up the month of May for adidas as the shoe comes in two colorways, Cardinal and Legend Ink.

Both shoes feature the adidas zx flux all blackbranding on the side of the shoe as well as the gold tongue tab. The premium leather build on each shoe gives off that OG vintage feel while the white mid and outsole round it out. These are available now at select adidas retailers.The last adidas Originals Gazelle OGs to arrive at retail featured leather uppers, but here’s a new drop that gets back to the more familiar suede. Speaking of Gazelle memories, this University Red edition bears a resemblance to the Infrared style that hit this January, but offer a red closer to primary, without the hot pink laces. These differences mean that along with the royal blue tongue branding, these Gazelle OGs have a more established feel, the kind of sneaker aesthetic that we call ‘timeless’ for a reason.
