ARLINGTON, Texas -- Ian Kinsler gave the Texas Rangers another big start. Kinsler hit a leadoff home run and Mitch Moreland launched a 463-foot shot, leading Ryan Dempster and the Rangers over the Minnesota Twins 9-3 Saturday for their fourth straight win. Kinsler homered in the first inning, hit a bases-loaded triple in the third that made it 9-0 and also singled. Texas had 11 hits by the third, including six for extra bases. "Its tough as an offence to have every single guy going well," Kinsler said. "Right now its happening. It seems like were seeing a lot of pitches and making the pitchers work." The Rangers, who have outscored opponents 39-12 during their winning streak, got 14 hits. The only Texas player without one was Adrian Beltre, who went 0 for 4 a day after hitting for the cycle. "Theyve been doing that a lot for everybody, getting four or five runs in an inning," Dempster said. "The game plan is still the same. But you have a little leeway when one run is not going to change the game." The AL West leaders have won eight of nine against the Twins this season. "Were swinging the bat pretty well," Moreland said. "One through nine, there are no breaks." Justin Morneau went 4 for 4 with a home run for Minnesota, which has lost five in a row and 14 of 16 overall. Dempster allowed two runs in six innings and improved to 3-1 since he was acquired from the Cubs on July 31. He was 5-5 with Chicago. After two shaky outings in his first three starts with Texas, Dempster has yielded just three runs in 14 innings over his last two starts. He struck out seven and walked two to beat the Twins for the second time this season. Brian Duensing (3-9) gave up a career-worst nine runs in 2 1-3 innings. It was another disappointing outing for Minnesotas starting pitchers this series -- they have allowed 18 earned runs and 24 hits in 9 2-3 innings. "It was really tough," Duensing said. "I had a bad day that came at the worst possible time." Duensing was coming off one of his best outings of the season, having held Oakland to two runs in six innings on Monday. But the left-hander got off to a rough start when Kinsler drove his third pitch into the seats in left. It was Kinslers 25th career leadoff homer. Nelson Cruz added an RBI double in the first to make it 2-0. Morelands three-run homer in the second inning was the third-longest shot at the Rangers stadium. Josh Hamilton hit the longest, a 490-foot drive in 2010. Moreland made his first start against a left-hander this season. "I come in every day ready to play," Moreland said. "I saw my name in the lineup and went out like I do every day." Geovany Soto had an RBI single and Texas loaded the bases in the third to chase Duensing. Kinsler, the second batter reliever Alex Burnett faced, tripled to deep right-centre. Morneaus 17th home run of the season in the fourth was the first homer by Minnesota since Aug. 17. In the sixth, Morneau was thrown at home by Craig Gentry trying to score on a single to centre. NOTES: Texas RHP Yu Darvish who missed his last start with tightness in his right quadriceps, threw a 30-pitch bullpen session and took fielding practice before the game. He will throw again in the bullpen Sunday ahead of his scheduled start Tuesday against Tampa Bay. ... Twins LF Josh Willingham was back in the lineup after missing two games with a stiff neck. ... Rangers manager Ron Washington said RHP Koji Uehara (strained right lat) may come off the disabled list Sunday if he has no setbacks after throwing a scoreless inning of relief for Triple-A Round Rock. ... Ben Revere became the fourth player in Twins history with consecutive 30-stolen base seasons. ... The Rangers gave away Washington bobblehead dolls to 30,000 fans. "Its a pretty good likeness," Washington said. cheap nfl jerseys . Robert Andino homered and had a career-high four RBIs, and Baltimore beat the Cleveland Indians 8-3 Sunday to earn a split of the four-game series. It was incredible to watch the momentum build over the last week as a nation united behind Canadas womens soccer team at the London Olympics. Now the job is to ensure that time in the spotlight is put to good use moving forward. With the Womens World Cup in Canada just under three years away, there is a golden opportunity for the Canadian Soccer Association to build on what has happened in London. For the growth of soccer in our country, this team cant just disappear for the next couple of years. There is a wonderful chance now to keep them in the public eye. Canadian Soccer Association president Victor Montagliani is well aware of the responsibility the organization has to capitalise on the success. "One of the things we have started doing over the last couple of years is to play more home matches, and that has to continue," Montagliani told me following the Olympics bronze medal match. "There is name recognition with this program now and we have to continue playing games on home soil as often as possible. We will look at playing games between now and the end of the year against high class opponents. "This isnt just a great moment in isolation for the womens program - this is a great moment for football in Canada period. Whether you are male or female, what this team has done is inspired a whole football nation in Canada and it can impact facets of our organization. Their display of sheer utter courage throughout the tournament has allowed us all to go on an incredible ride." One of the keys to Canadas success has been the first class job performed by head coach John Herdman. In the space of a year, he has managed to turn the team around and get the very best out of a squad that a year ago was left disillusioned following an incredibly disappointing World Cup. &quuot; When we brought John in a year ago the timing was perfect," said Montagliani.dddddddddddd "We all know that technically he can coach, but it is off the field that is the key to Johns success in the way he treats his players and everybody around him. He doesnt leave any stone unturned in his preparation. As he put it to me one time, he has a very high EQ, an emotional quotient. In todays modern game it is very important that you have that." With success comes attention. Herdman is under contract with the Canadian Soccer Association through to the end of 2015, but that wouldnt stop other countries targeting a proven winner. However, Montagliani is confident Herdmans long-term future is in Canada. "There is nobody stopping teams from coming knocking on our door, but John is under contract with us and he is very happy," said Montagliani. "Canada affords John many more things than just a pocketbook, so I am very confident that he will be on the touchline with us at the 2015 World Cup." A bronze medal was a big success for this team. Now full focus will be placed on building towards 2015 to ensure that Canada is able to perform well on home soil. When asked after the Olympic tournament if Canadas performance makes them a tier 1 team, Herdman said its too early to tell. They will need to get results on a consistent basis against the best teams in the world if they are to be considered tier 1. However, there is now a firm foundation for the program. "The technical staff have already put into place some plans for the next couple of years to ensure we peak in 2015," said Montagliani. "Our U20s are competing in the U20 World Cup later this month in Japan, so we will also get a good look at what new talent will be available to us for 2015." ' ' '
